Here's your regular roundup of awesome new features from the splendid humans of the Beacon product team.
Earlier this month we announced Beacon's new relationships feature. We've been working hard based on the feedback we've received already and we've got a solid set of features in the pipeline to build next.
You can read all about relationships in this blog post.
Form names and titles
Every form can now have both a 'Name' which is used internally to help you to identify the form, and a 'Title' which is used publicly on your form page. This makes it much easier to organise your forms!
Confetti on form submissions
You can now celebrate form submissions with classic Beacon confetti. You can turn this on in the 'Success' section of your form's configuration. Hooray!
Word and Character limits on forms
Need to restrict how much text someone can enter into a form? Now you can! Long text and short text fields can have a restriction set to keep responses as brief as you need them to be. You can limit either the number of words or the number of characters in a field.
Update Stripe subscription amounts
We've built a new Stripe card which you can add to your Subscription records. This card lets you automatically update subscription amounts in Stripe and Beacon without needing to open the Stripe dashboard.
Beacon admins can add this new card from Customisation mode on any Subscription record.
Bulk update subscription amounts
If you need to update the amounts for many subscriptions at once, you can do this with a new bulk action. Simply select all of the subscriptions you want to update, enter the new amount, and Beacon will automatically change these amounts in Stripe and GoCardless. Remember, like all bulk actions, there is no undo! So be very careful when updating subscriptions in bulk!
Become a Beacon expert with Beacon Lighthouse
If you're looking to really get to grips with Beacon then you can enroll in one of our free online courses through Beacon Lighthouse. We've recently added Deep Dive courses on Major Gifts & Grants and Events & Ticketing, all curated by Senior Customer Success Manager and Lighthouse Keeper, Luke.
Beacon chat: The place to be for Beaconeers one-and-all
Beacon customers are invited to join our private Facebook Group. It's a place to exchange ideas, tips, and best practices.
You can find the group here and we'd love to welcome you in.
The group is only available to Beacon customers.
Our Enthuse integration is delayed for a few weeks while the Enthuse team make some API improvements, but we'll keep you updated! We're going to continue making some pretty significant updates to forms, including pre-populating forms from URL fields, conditional fields/sections, and customisable fonts.
