Product Update - February 2023

David Simpson
February 1, 2023

Here are the latest highlights from the lovely nerds of the Beacon product team.

Accept donations from organisations and fundraisers

It's now possible to accept donations from organisations on Beacon forms. You can also let people pay in money from fundraising efforts and collections. You can switch this on from any donation form, and donors will be presented with some new options on their donation forms.

Improved membership renewals

We've redesigned how renewals are shown on membership forms.  Before we had a very subtle toggle that renewing members often missed, but now renewal forms are much clearer:

Disable 2FA when you need to

If you have trouble with your 2 factor authentication you can now ask an admin of your Beacon account to send you a special link to switch it off for you. Admins, you'll find this on the team members page.

Our snappy new look

You'll have noticed by now that both the Beacon website and product have had a makeover. We've still got some finishing touches to make here (pink isn't the best colour to use in all contexts!) and we've really appreciated everyone's feedback.

Become a Beacon expert with Beacon Lighthouse

If you're new to Beacon and you're looking to really get to grips with your new CRM in 2023 then you can enroll in one of our free online courses through Beacon Lighthouse. We've got Deep Dive courses on Major Gifts & Grants and Events & Ticketing, all curated by Senior Customer Success Manager and Lighthouse Keeper, Luke.

Beacon chat: The place to be in 2023

Beacon customers are invited to join our private Facebook Group. It's a place to exchange ideas, tips, and best practices.

You can find the group here and we'd love to welcome you in.

The group is only available to Beacon customers.

Our Enthuse integration officially launches this week, we're close to shipping the ability to drag and drop dashboard cards and to share dashboards with your team, and we're going to be working on 'OR' filters very soon
