You can now upload files up to 50MB in size with Beacon forms. We've also changed how deduplication works when forms are submitted. Form submissions are now deduplicated by both email address and name.
This is an exact matching system to be as safe as possible - so 'John Smith' and 'Johnny Smith' are considered different people.
Remember, you can always merge and rogue duplicates using Beacon's duplicate-finding system.
Our planned changes to Beacon's billing system are now all complete. There is a new system for managing licences, a new system for managing optional add-ons to your Beacon account, and we have refined and automated process around part-time users.
We've also made read-only users available for free on all plans, doubled the number of custom fields available on Professional and Premium plans, and we've made Roles and Permissions available to Professional plan customers.
You can now choose different language for your membership forms. While the functionality remains the same this means you can now have the language you use to describe your members reflected in your form, whether it's friends, supporters, or Beaconeers.
This also makes it easier to use Beacon's membership forms for sponsorships and adoptions.
We've improved our import templates for Mailchimp, Paypal, and Facebook. We've also added Donr and Benevity to our template library so it's even easier to import your data from other systems into Beacon.
Our intrepid band of Founder Members have been getting things off to a good start on Beacon's new private Facebook Group. It's a place to exchange ideas, tips, and best practices and all Beacon customers are now invited to join!
You can find the group here and we'd love to welcome you in.
The group is only available to Beacon customers.
Next, we're upgrading our import template infrastructure to support larger imports and to work faster. We're also working on the Beacon Portal, which will allow people in your Beacon database to update their own information via a new type of form.
