Heads up! This is a guide for admins. If you're not an admin yet, ask your Beacon admin to promote you so you can start managing alerts.
Alerts in Beacon are a great way to highlight important information on a record. You can use them for anything, but here's a few examples:
link
Creating alerts
Open customisation mode when viewing a record.
Click the alerts icon in the top right of the page:
Open customisation mode when viewing a record.
Click the alerts icon in the top right of the page:
- An alert settings dialog will appear, showing you a list of all of the existing alerts.
- Click create new alert.
- Enter a title and message that you'd like to show in your alert.
- Choose an alert type. Think about what kind of message you'd like to show in your database when choosing this.
- Set the show conditions. These are filters just like those used for segmentation, except this time, you're using them to determine whether an alert should show on a given record.
- Click Create.
That's it! Your alert will now show automatically on records that satisfy your show conditions.
